My name is Caleb Hennessy and I am a composer, producer and audio technician from New Hampshire in the United States. I have listened to music my whole life and it truly is my passion. I am very focused on the game industry and composing music for video games. I especially enjoy working on Fantasy/Medieval/Role Playing games of any kind, but I am open to work on any game that involves making creative music that supports the game but also lets me explore different avenues of music.

I started listening to music my parents listened to when I grew up but as a child I always had an interest in soundtracks and world music due to the movies and games I was exposed to. Later in life I discovered Rock and Metal music, which only enhanced my love for the art of music. There are two memories that really stick out to me as turning points in my life that have set me on this musical path. The first being when I first watched the “Lord of the Rings” movies. As much as I enjoyed the films, I enjoyed the soundtrack much more and this opened me up the works of composer Howard Shore. Another composer that fueled my interest was Jeremy Soule, best known for his work in "The Elder Scrolls" game series. The second turning point was when I was 14 and picked up my first guitar. Since then I have been creating songs and expanding my knowledge of music and how it all works.

Along with my love for music, I also have a love for the technical side of it. Things such as setting up Pro Tools projects for upcoming work, recording setup and tracking and just overall audio technical work. One of my goals is to either work in a studio helping artists and bands create their vision or work for movie or game developers creating music for media or being on the technical side. I am completely happy with any of this and would love to make it my professional career since I have such as passion for music, movies, games and computer technology. I started audio editing and programming compositions back in 2011 and have worked my way up to my own personal home studio. There have been a few setbacks in my career so far as expected. Most of these setbacks are financial and my own personal creativity. As all artists know, creativity comes in bursts for a lot of people and needs to be utilized when it is available. When I am in the zone and really put my head into it, I can come out with amazing results. I would also like to mention that I am quite and organized person and have very organized sessions that are backed up and filed correctly to make things a lot easier. As a professional I believe that you should do what you love and give it all you have. Which is exactly what I intend to do as I find my way into a comfortable career that I love doing. My love for music, media and technology is what fuels my passion to keep going. I have the most fun and progress when I am given an atmosphere to create sound around or when I am editing and mixing audio or solving technical related issues.

Since my early days of High School and learning guitar I have created many musical projects and I want to talk a bit about these projects. The projects I have created are, Lone Spirits, Cyclopean and my personal world/soundtrack music under my name “Caleb Hennessy” or “Caleb Hennessy’s Compositions”.  Lone Spirits is a band or project based on Rock and Metal influences that I originally started with a close friend of mine. It could be best described as symphonic groovy metal. Cyclopean is my most recent project and quite heavy and dark. If you are not already aware, there is a genre of metal called Black Metal. Known for its dark atmosphere and harsh vocals it is a very extreme kind of music. Cyclopean’s goal is to take the works of H.P. Lovecraft and adapt his stories into songs that tell the stories as the song progresses. Lastly, my most personal work is my world/soundtrack/ambient music, known under my name or “Caleb Hennessy’s Compositions”. This is influenced from my passion for world or ethnic music such as European, Northern and Central Native American, and Asian music. There is also soundtrack and ambient or meditation material that I have created. These songs are more suited for loose structure and improvisation when created.
